Remembering Those No Longer with Us
My memories of Sheli

Sheli's death hit me harder than I ever expected.  36 years of memories came back fast and furious.  I couldn't believe she was gone!

Sheli and I had been friends as long as I can remember!  We were in the Toddler Nursery at Central Baptist Church together.  I was 2 or 3 when I started at the church.  Many memories of Sunday School parties and sleepovers, Pioneer Girls meetings and Youth Group come to mind.

I spend a lot of time at Sheli's house growing up.  She gave me my first bike. It was a brown one if I remember right.  I had my first sleepover at Sheli's house.  I remember I was scared of the dark and was sick that night, but I had fun otherwise.

Most of our time spent together was at school, of course.  We were in choir together.  I didn't share her athletic abilities though.

The last time I saw Sheli was a year ago at her mom's calling hours (I really miss Mrs. Faulkner also!  I could share many special memories of her too).  I was hoping to get Sheli's address so I could get in touch with her again, but I didn't get the chance.  I really regret that.
